HP elitebook 820 g2 Laptop wont turn on.
It was working fine last night. I shut it down then removed the charger. This morning it still booted up fine(charger plugged in). I opened chrome then at the middle of loading the websites it powered off.
Tried to power it on again but the indicator lights keeps flashing/blinking like it is rebooting repeatedly but no display.
I removed the battery and connected the AC charger directly but still the same.
Already tried the hard reset(removed battery then press power for 30sec). Also reinserted the RAM.

Hello.
I would recommend trying with another charger first in case your old one is faulty.
If you think the laptop is working, perhaps your display has stopped working. Try with another display. If you tap the Caps Lock button, does its indicator turn on/off? This would indicate that the laptop is working and either Windows is loading or the laptop is in Boot Menu screen.
If the Caps Lock is unresponsive and you cannot get external display to work, then the problem is likely in the system board, memory module(s) or other internal peripherals, and diagnosing will require some or whole disassembly.
HP laptops will try to communicate an error codes through blink codes if the laptop fails to properly power on. Check whether the blinking lights are forming a pattern and check this HP page to identify the pattern.

No display at all on laptop nor external monitor. I already swapped with new battery but no luck. Once power is pressed, the keyboard lights will blink but wont stay on, then same with all the indicator lights will just blink each, It repeats in a loop. Capslock is not responsive.
At this point I'll just bring it to an HP service center.

After getting multiple advice to check the RAM I tried to troubleshoot it again and managed to make it work.
I have two 4Gb RAM and it turns out RAM1 is faulty. I also figured that It doesn't work if there is no RAM inserted on slot1 so I had to swap the RAM into each slots this time.
Solution : I moved RAM2 from slot2 into slot1, leaving slot2 empty, then reseated the HDD and the laptop started normally.
