Hi       has anybody replaced and flashed a mainboard on an Elitebook 840 G5? Why I ask is we have one out of 60 that was bad from the box. I used the same PE tool i have been using for the 840 G4's and when the windmifit starts to boot from within winpe i get the error this bios is not supported. I went to speed code TDIA and there is an update , this is the instructions ::

Instructions to update your USB Key:

  1. Download BIOStable.txt file to your desktop.
  2. Insert your USB Key.
  3. Using File Explorer, go to EFI > DMIFIT.
  4. Replace existing BIOStable.txt on your USB Key.%MCEPASTEBIN%
  5.   i have the folder EFI , no DMFI folder
