G7-250 laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

In one of our laptop, we are getting intermittent problem with the Memory Module, and the blue screen is appearing. We have 8Gb x 2 slots filled with HP SSD m.2 512 Gb as the drive.

So, we ran the following tests.

1. We did the Memory Diagnostics, and the attached screen is there. It is giving a memory error.

Memory Quick Check : FAILED
FAILURE ID : GU54XD-9REAAU-XD7XHF-408C03 PRODUCT ID : 6YE09PAHACJ
Memory Module 1 Bottom-Slot 1(left)
Current Version: 1. 24.0.0 - BIOS

2. And then we are doing the test with individual memory, Both the memory module passed the test.

3. Then we attached both the memory module, and jointly they passed the test.

4. Then after 3 days, the same of Memory Module blue screen error came. When the error came up, we did the memory test, and the memory failure appeared. We repeated step 2 and 3. And we got the pass results.

I am coming to believe it is more of Windows 10 compatibility failure than memory failure. Ubuntu is working very fine without any issues.

Unfortunately, HP India does not have any one competent to answer. And their support is pathetic.

I would like an urgent input from any of the community members. The laptop belongs to our director, so I am just going crazy.

Deepak
