HP Windows 7. I purched this laptop about 2 years ago from someone. They gave me the password to mi rosoft windows and canged the computer name to me and I changed the password for microsoft. Last week I went to log in and it said my password was incorrect. I have no way to contact the person I bought it from.
1. How can I get my files from this computer without the microsoft password.
2. How can I factory reset this computer without a microsoft password?

Hello.
I would recommend contacting a local computer repair shop or just someone with enough computer knowledge to either reset the Windows password, or get the data out. There are too many variables to give any sort of comprehensive answer in how to copy the data. Windows 7 password reset is not a particularly difficult operation, it's a forbidden subject on this message board, I'm afraid.
Getting the files out may be near impossible if you have Bitlocker drive encryption enabled.
After you have your data, I recommend a complete reinstall of Windows. You will need to reinstall all your software afterwards.
