I have bought a new hp-15-eq1049au laptop recently. I tried to use the USB c cable to connect the USB c port from the laptop with the Dell USB c monitor-P2419HC. But it doesn’t work. Can anyone explain the reason why they cannot be connected by USB c cable? How can I connect the new HP laptop with the Dell laptop? Thanks.

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06677790
It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine
- Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter
Regards.
