While setting up my HP EliteBook 8570w I noted that there are much less drivers listed for Windows 10 64-bit than for Windows 7 on the HP support page. This irritates a bit. Is this because Windows 10 is not fully suppported anymore by HP for my specific notebook or rather because the missing drivers are already implemented in Windows 10 (while not being implemented in Windows 7)? For instance, the Mobile Display Assistant 3.0 is NOT listed under Windows 10 64-bit but it IS listed under Windows 7.

Thank you. What is the recommendation on how to deal with this? Should I try the Windows 7 drivers in order to see if they work? Or would that be too risky? Are Windows 8 - or even Windows 8.1 drivers generally better (closer) to Windows 10 than Windows 7 drivers?

I would recommend using the driver listed for Windows 8 or 8.1 since this is ths closest option to Windows 10.
This will be the best option at this point since there are limitations with Windows 10 on this unit.

Great - thank you for the kind support. I suppose 8.1 is still better than 8 since closest to Windows 10?

No problem! Glad to assist.
I looked through the driver page for the 8570w and I was only able to locate the Mobile Display Assistant on Windows 7.
It doesn't appear on the Windows 8-10 driver pages. I included the link below for the Windows 7 version.
