Hello.
Can you specify the quickness of the battery drainage? From 100% to 0% in 15 minutes? One hour? Has this been a problem from the beginning?
Battery drains faster when computer uses lot of power or if the battery is degraded. Batteries degrade over time, no matter what, depending on environmental factors and such. Battery life can be checked with HP Support Assistant. If the battery is badly degraded, you can either live with it or have it replaced.
Windows 10/11 gathers data about the battery usage per application, perhaps you can identify the offending application? This data is gathered into Windows settings / Power & Battery / Battery usage. You can also monitor your computer CPU usage in realtime with Task Manager or Resource Monitor, or have Performance Monitor log data for a longer period.

Hi, It is 100% - 0% in less than 15 min. Never a problem from the beginning. Once I put it on charge it comes right back up. I did do the report but wasn't able to understand what was consuming the battery. But I've had the laptop for 5 years now so it's probably time to replace it. Thanks for your help!
