Product: HP Laptop - 15-ef1013dx

My computer will not allow me to connect to two external monitors using hdmi to usb hub and a separate hdmi cable. Either one works or they both do not work. It will detect both monitors but nothing will display. I have tried a G5 hub and it will detect all other devices except the monitors. How do I get both displays to work? There is one HDMI port, 1 usb c, and 2 usb ports. Thank you!
