My company is opening up a new office, The laptop I have has been one of the best laptops I have owned throughout my time in school. I only have one issue with it. The USB-C port that is on it, is not a full functioning port (the issue is it doesn't charge while connected to my docking station). I need laptop suggestion's that match's this laptop as much as possible in terms of screen size, ports, screen quality (or better), large disk space (1TB preferred or better), Capability (or better). It has to have a SD card reader; I don't need a disc reader but if it does have it that's fine, but I prefer it doesn't. It MUST have a touch screen and It HAS to have full functioning USB-c port because I will be using a docking station at work and at home with 2 screens. Product suggestions much needed!

Hi,
First lets talk about the old laptop. If you install an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD in the old laptop it would give it an amazing boost in everyday performance. So you could remove the old mechanical HDD and install an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD from your preferred brand and capacity. Something like the Samsung 980 would be great.
You should check if the M2 slot is present in the notebook. On page 24 of service manual you can see the steps to remove the bottom cover to take a look

Now, for the new PC
just looking at the HP shop I se that they have a very similar one to yours in a flash sale offer. It has the USB-C Thunderbolt Gen 4
"1 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB4™ Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge);" and the rest of what you asked for.
It has a 516GB PCIe drive, however you can upgrade in the future to a higher capacity drive (no limit) by inserting a different M2 drive.
