HP Recommended
Product: HP EliteBook 8740w Mobile Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Battery stops charging 30 seconds after power on. Reaches 26% charge

Battery report say "No batteries are currently installed".

Funny! If so how does it retain 26% charge whilst in use?

Battery and AC charger are both faily new.

HP says this 11 year old Elite book 8740w is no longer supported.

Have done all the recommended checks and it says the Bios and drivers are up to date.

Any ideas?
