Operate Spectre x360 15t without battery? (battery is swelling and need temp solution)

I have battery swelling and can't get replacement battery for months. I need to remove the battery but continue to use the laptop on plugin power. It does not seem to startup this way.

Can I use it without battery, is there a special adapter or setting or special startup procedure?

ALSO This unit uses the YB06XL battery which is unavailable. The KB06XL is available and looks the same and is same voltage but has a lower watt hour rating. Can I use the KB06XL temporarily until the YB06XL is available?
