Several months ago, a leak in my ceiling dripped down on my HP Spectre 360 Model 15 laptop. My screen was damaged and has been unusable since then. However, I’ve been able to get by with external monitors. There were no other issues associated with the leak.
Windows 10 operating system.
A few days ago, I took my laptop into another room, plugged it back in and connected it to a different external monitor. Immediately I got a 7% low battery message on the monitor. Then, the laptop shut down. The battery warning didn’t make sense because I always have the laptop hooked up to power.
I took the battery out, but the laptop would not power on (without the battery).
I installed a new battery and got a new power cord. The new battery wouldn’t charge up. I took the battery out and tried to power it up with the new power cord. I heard a “click,” but the laptop would not power up.
I’m dead in the water.
Can somebody in the community help me?
Thanks.
