Hi Mani,

If it helps to narrow down your possible laptop, I bought this a few months ago:

https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6TP67EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB

It does AutoCAD quite well (certified card as well), though for video editing I don't think it has the minimum base CPU frequency to do it properly. Mine seems to throttle down to 2GHz on all cores when under a heavy load (3D Rendering). It's also not the generation you would prefer.

I can't spend too much time on this as I'm not a HP sales person, but it seems that to get a 9th Gen i7 laptop you have to move away from the workstation models and go for something like this at £2500:

https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6PY73EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB

I have to say that it doesn't look very professional however I have seen a number of reviews claiming that the additional screen can aid productivity. Also it has a 15" screen and not your preferred 14".

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Chris

Use CAD and 3D modelling programmes as well as occasional video editing.

Hi there,

I've only just joined but to answer that question, you really need to say what you intend to use the laptop for.

Thanks,

Chris
