HP EliteBook 745 G5 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, Got a new HP EliteBook 745 G5 Notebook and Im having some issues with the Intel XMM 7360 driver which constantly shuts down. I have tried to update and uninstall the driver but it keeps popping up again. This happens every 5 minutes. I can see the XMM7360 appearing under Other Devices and disappearing again within a few minutes.

Please help!

I have the same problem with two new HP Elitebook 1040 G5 and XMM 7360. Connection worked ok first but on first trip it shut down and never came back. I thought I fixed it reinstalling driver for "ModemControl device" in system devices, but connection is missing again.

The other laptop does not even see the ModemControl device in device management.

I got the XMM 7360 running on my EB 840 G5 but it took a lot of firmware updates and drivers and holding my mouth right. I'm having a heck of a time with a pair of EB 745 G5's, I'd sure like to send them out to my users but I can't get the dang modems working.

This is not happy making! I never did hear back from HP's EliteBook support after opening a case about my 840, I left for a tech conference after I got that device working so I didn't follow up. Of course, neither did they, so maybe they didn't expect a resolution?

Edit to add; The number for EliteBook support 24/7 is 866.625.1175 and my case number was 5037328215. I've previously had excellent results contacting EliteBook support, so this was disappointing. This forum is clearly not an improvement!
