Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I bought refurbished 645 G3 from Staples. The RAM failed while still under warranty. That is a lot of paperwork for little reward so I just bought some new from Best Buy. Now this computer uses 45 watt power supply which ran very hot. With the new RAM the power supply temperature went down comparable to other laptops I have had. This is against the conventional wisdom which says the new RAM should have been using an additional 8 watts. So I am wondering if the RAM that came with the computer was bad from day one or if adding more ram actually reduced the trading of data between the M2 drive and the RAM.
