HP Elitebook 830 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently been issued this laptop,  I remember accessing the volume mixer to select a speaker and now I have this permanent image which is causing me distress as I can't get rid of it.  I have checked the control panel, clicked on Exit.

I also googled it and I haven't found a solution.

Another person asked the same question on this forum but has not received an answer.

The only solution suggested on the internet that seems to work is to uninstall the B & O driver and replace with a generic one.

Unfortunately, I don't have admin rights on the laptop to do this and want to know if there is way I could remove it.
