EliteBook 840 G3 T9X23EA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an EliteBook 840 G3 (T9X23EA) that is getting old, but at the moment I don't have the funds to replace it.

I was hoping to get a small performance increase if I switched the SSD since I could use some more storage.

Can I use an nvme M.2 SSD? I am thinking about an Intel 665p Series M.2 2280 SSD 1TB. Would this work?

Edited to add: I might move from Windows 10 to Linux if this is relevant.

The 840 g3 supports either SATA or NVME on the m.2 SSD slot, so you should be able to use either
