Should my right fan spin at more than 150rpm when gaming?

I want to know if my right fan should spin at the same speed than my left fan in my Hp Spectre x360 under heavy loads. I have this doubt because there is a noise coming from the left fan when it is spinning at more than 100rpm.

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the right fan is spinning fast and making noise under heavy load.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

While you respond to that, I would like to inform you that the CPU fan always spins faster than the system fan/Graphics card fan. The CPU fan will keep the temperature of the CPU under control. When you play games or use graphics intense software or applications it puts a lot of load on the processor and the processor generates a lot of heat. The fan runs at the maximum speed to control the CPU temperature.

Having said that, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
