Thunderbolt Dock G2 230w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i have had my Thunderbolt dock g2 230w for 3 months and for the life of me cannot get it to charge my Zbook 17 G4, the only way i use it is plug my zbook charger in and the thunderbolt connection. for some reason my zbook will not charge of the dock power cable.

i can not get any assistance on this at all.

i have a work elite book that works fine when i plug in, but the zbook not.

i also have issues when it goes to sleep with 2 screens, only 1 wakes up and the only way i get it to see both screens is via a turn screen off and on again, this happenes with both elitebook and zbook.

i was told this unit was plug and play. well in my experiance its not.

Hello

does your Thunderbolt dock g2 230w has a cable that ends on the notebook side with barrell connector for the power and and USB-C connector  for the signals ?  are those two connectors kept together with a small magnet ?

for the display issue , I can't help. I use an ELitebook with TB dock G2 more than a year. it was working fine until I updated all  drivers and docking firmware. then when I do a pause and display goings to sleep, often I have to remove the power cord from monitor to be able to awake it.

Bye
