I'm facing a bit of a conundrum here and could use some advice. I've got an HP ZBook Firefly laptop and an Acer KHL 272 monitor on my desk. The problem is, I can't seem to establish a connection between them using an HDMI cable.

What's puzzling is that my laptop works perfectly fine with other monitors, and the Acer monitor also functions flawlessly with other laptops. Just those two can't stand each other ....

I've tried a few things already:

Exchanged, checked and rechecked the cable and connections, so they seem fine.

Made sure the monitor is on and set to the correct HDMI input (I've double-checked this).

Experimented with different resolutions and refresh rates on my laptop.

Updated the graphics drivers on my HP ZBook Firefly from the official website.

Looked for specific drivers for the Acer KHL 272 monitor (but couldn't find any).

I've even rebooted both devices a couple of times just to make sure. And yet, no luck.

Has anyone encountered something similar or have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this further? Could it still be an issue with the cable, the ports, or perhaps some compatibility quirks? Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance! 🙏
