Hi,

I bought a new hp laptop 3 months ago. I have a secondary monitor plugged in the USB-C port, to a display port hp monitor, and it has been working fine for months. However, all of a sudden, it has stopped working. After a minute or so, the screen goes black and stops receiving signal. From that moment on, if I  unplug it and plug it in again, a single frame is shown and then the monitor stops receiving signal. After a few minutes, if I try again it will work again.

I have disabled sleep mode on all usb ports that allow me to do so in device manager, I have screen saver disabled, power energy doesn't put anything to sleep.... I have updated the bios and all the drivers from hp support too. I have changed the cable and the issue happens too.

I need this for working, might have been a recent windows update, but I restored the system to last week restore point and hasn't solved the issue.

After the restore point it's now even worse, as the monitor is no longer  able to get up to its native resolution, which was working before.

Any help please?????
