Product: HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello
I would like to buy a new speakerphone and was wondering if the USB-C connection would work on the HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 for conference calls by using USB-C to USB-C. I am a bit confused with these different types of USB-C. Seems not all work for Video output. But what about audio + funtionality such as muting a call.
Thanks

your laptop's usb-c port behaves like a standard usb-a/3.0 port so you can connect a speakerphone to it and it will work... the g4 and newer models support usb-c PD (power delivery) and thunderbolt for additional features support
I work for HP. However, all opinions and comments are my own.
