USB-C Thunderbolt HUB issue

HP Recommended

Hello everybody,

I have very frustrating issue related to using my laptop with external USB devices connected via USB-C/Thunderbolt Hub.

The setup is the following (two options both have the same symptoms):

1. 1 cable connection PC USB-C -> Dell U3219Q -> (mouse, keyboard, headset)

2. or 1 cable connection PC USB-C -> HP USB-C Dock G5 -> (mouse, keyboard, headset)

1. The headset gets disconnected after short time and it's not possible to connect it (only unplugging and replugging USB-C cable helps)

2. Mouse freezes from time to time, and also sometimes gets permanently disconnected (same solution to reconnect)

3. Keyboard freezes during typing, sometimes during the freeze it keeps the key pressed (adding multiple instances of the same letter, or - worse - deleting huge amounts of text, if it was a backspace), and rarely disconnects permanently (again same solution)

I have all the newest drivers, BIOS updated, even tried to reinstall the thunderbolt drivers and chipset ones as well. Nothing helped. Would you toss an advice to a HPer?
