From the following information

   https://www.apple.com/au/shop/product/MD564ZM/A/apple-usb-superdrive

No, it only compatible with

Compatible with the following computers:

MacBook*

MacBook Air with Retina display*

MacBook Pro with Retina display*

MacBook Air

iMac (late 2012) and later

Mac mini (late 2009) and later

Mac Pro (late 2013)

But it is an external ODD, I believe it should be compatible with non-Apple machines. It won't hurt when connect.

Regards.
