HP EliteBook 845 14 inch G9 Notebook PC (544M1AV)

The HP documentation for the 845 g9 reports that the two USB C ports are USB 4 with 40 Gbit/s transfer. Meanwhile, when I check HP system information, it only reports as USB 3.1 Gen 2. Device Manager shows a mix of USB 3.1 and USB4, which seemingly corresponds to the type A and type C ports.

Is HP system information inaccurate and are the ports currently running at USB4 speeds? Or do I need something like a future BIOS update to enable USB4? (P.S. I don't  have anything to test speeds)

Machine has

  • 2 USB4™️ Type-C®️ 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™️ 1.4);
  • 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (1 charging);
  • 1 Stereo headphone/microphone combo jack;
  • 1 HDMI 2.0 (HDMI cable sold separately.).

It does not have any USB 4 type A port, only 2 USB 3.1 type A ports.

Regards.
