Elitebook 8570w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am trying to install windows 10 (windows alone, not with previous settings etc) on my Elitebook 8570w, but get the error "Windows is unable to install to the selected location. This computer's hardware may not support booting to his disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu". I have tried the following fixes:
- clean the disk

- restore BIOS to factory default settings

A frequently propsed solution that I was not able to do was to set BIOS SATA mode to ACHI. I have it on RAID and I can't change it (all device configurations options in BIOS are disabled).

I was also not able to update my BIOS (currently 681AV Ver. F.43, date 10/08/2013). I found an update report here: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/document/c04113070, but could not find it in the HP Software Download (https://support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-8570w-mobile-workstation/5257502/model...).

Can anyone help me figure out how to get windows 10 back on my laptop?
Many thanks in advance!
