Hi,

my friend would like to sign in on her laptop (Probook 430 G6, Windows 10 Pro) and unlock hard drive encryption with one authentification step when booting. I understand using Bitlocker with it's standard configuration (without preboot authentification) is very insecure. Gaining access to a Windows user account seems to be very easy.

Is there a possibility to make this scenario work (single-sign-on with drive enryption by fingerprint not relying on Windows Authentification security)? HP offers some solutions like Drive Lock and Client Security Manager, but I don't know, if it's possible / more secure. Any ideas/advice?

Thank you, Chris
