Hello, I am IT FIELD Support Agent for Disney Company in Argentina.
I would like to ask you for help. I have an issue with the laptop HP EliteBook 840 G8 Notebook PC.
When the laptop is switched off the microprocessor´s FAN starts to spin loudly.
The steps performed trying to solve the issue were:
-Force shutdown for 30 seconds with and without battery.
-BIOS rollback, BIOS Update.
-Thermal paste replaced.
-Tested with another FAN, memory and battery.
-Clear CMOS performed removing BIOS battery.
-HP support assistant installed, all drivers available updated.
-HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI executed, processor OK, processor temp. OK.
-HP Management Engine Interface (Intel MEI) updated.
-Disable Fast boot from MS Windows power settings.
-I tried several BIOS configuration.
None of those steps solved the issue.
Kindly ask you for assistance with this ISSUE.
Regards!
