Why does my HP Envy make chirping noises and how to fix it?

HP Recommended
HP Envy x360 15.6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've just received my new HP Envy laptop only about a couple of months ago, but I was already experiencing some issues with my system within days of me using it. First of all, I have an SSD so I shouldn't be hearing these high pitched chirping noises. I haven't spilled any water or gotten any viruses lately. I just had this issue already before I even had the chance to set it all up completely. I'm wondering if this is supposed to be normal, or is it an issue that no one else has received like this before? I'm also wondering if there is a possible solution to this.

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step

Set BIOS default and restart:

  1. Restart your notebook.
  2. During startup, press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu is displayed.
  3. Once the BIOS menu is displayed, press F9 to restore factory defaults.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.
  5. Press F10 to save changes and exit.

I bought the same laptop in July and immediately noticed the chirping sound. I was concerned something was broken or malfunctioning inside, so I requested a replacement and the new one makes the exact same noise. Using the laptop for a couple months now, the noise happens infrequently enough that I've decided to keep it, but it is really annoying when it's happening.

@mittensromney

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Have a nice day!!
