HP Envy 17 n100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

will a 5TB 2.5" laptop 15mm HDD  fit in my Envy 17 n100 model laptop's 2nd drive bay(see picture below)? This HDD is thicker than an average HDD because of its capacity and size.  Will it fit in and will I be able to put the housing / cover back?

3.95 x 2.75 x 0.59 in

Seagate 5TB Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s 128MB Cache 2.5-Inch 15mm Internal Hard Drive (ST5000LM000)

5TB HDD specs PDF link

dimensions are on page 18

Thank you!

It only supports 6.35-cm (2.5-in) SATA hard drives in 9.5 mm (.37 in) and 7.0 mm (.28 in) thicknesses. The 5TB HDD (more platters) is much thicker (.59 vs .37). It simply won't fit, too thick.

Regards.
