Hey all, I got a used laptop from my boss and I'm looking to soup it up. It needs a new battery (low battery health, so it discharges too quickly for my liking) as well as more ram and a new drive, and that's all stuff I'm well and fine to deal with, but another thing I'd love to upgrade if possible is the panel as this is the 1366x768 model. I know there are nearly identical panels that happen to be 1920x1080 and that'd be lovely. I also know that apparently the 1080 models downgrade fine to the 768 panels, so is this true in reverse? If I buy a 1080 panel will it work? I'm running Debian Linux with (I believe) open source drivers, if that matters at all.
