X360 G3 1030 resolution problem with QHD HP ZR2740 monitor

I recently bought a new X360 G3 1030 to replace a Surface Pro 4.
When I connect via HDMI the x360 to the HP ZR2740W the max resolution It's receive is 1280x720.
The monitor has a native resolution QHD 2560x1600 and works correctly with Surface.
It don't depend on the type of setting. Only external display, extend, duplicate, the resolution is the same.

I can only reduce it to 640x480....
I update the UHD 620 driver but nothing change.

Seems that the UHD 620 can only use her standard resolutions (ie 2560x1600) that are not compatible with the monitor.
Someone had the same problem or has a aolution?

I have a X360 1030 G3.

I have to see if I also have a QHD 2560x1600 monitor. For sure I have FHD and 4K 3840x2160 to do a try.

As X360 1030 G3 HDMI port is 1.4, it could be that you may need to set, using Intel Graphics Utility, not Win 10 , the refresh rate to 30 HZ. Connect ZR2750W, start the Intel Graphics Utility, select the monitor and see if you can set from 25 to 30HZ fro 2560x1600.

it is likely your x360 1030 g2 has a FHD screen 1920x1080) and if you are trying to clone the displays, it will reult in a common lower resolution based on what the display supports... can you set it to the full QHD resolution if you Extend the display instead of cloning/mirroring the LCD panel?

In addition, i believe the old zr2740w performance display has a Displayport 1.1 interface and the newer Intel graphics chips have had issues properly synching with the older protocol... just fyi

X360: it's a UHD version. The internal monitor and the output resolution is 3840x2160
Monitor HP ZR2740: it's a QHD 2560x1440. you could use a DVI or a Display Port.
All the tests I did were with cable fully funtional on other devices and with the 3 different option: external single display, duplicate display, extended display.

X360 to ZR2740 via HDMI to DVI cable (dual link): X360 recognise the ZR2740 but the max res is 1280x720

I don't understand why a pc whin a UHD max resolution doesn't manage a directly linked monitor with QHD res.
 
Intel wrote to me that thay couldn't do anything because the x360's drivers are customized by HP.
I installed the latest HP driver and the problem is not solved.
