HP ZBook 17 G3 IDS Base Model Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Today I made a BIOS Update from HP on my G3. If you have an administration BIOS password set, the update can brake the authentication process.

My ZBook accept the fingerprint but then doesn't continue. It hangs on the BIOS authentication screen. The password I used since 3 years doesn't work too. There are no special signs only numbers, letters and dots.

I update my G6 today, too. It has the same password and fingerprint and have no problems.

Support has try some things, but couldn't help me. Only a motherboard change may help.

Maybe I can fix it with new BIOS Chip - soldering task.
