Thermals on the G9 are broken, and HP software and BIOS offer no control over fan speed or voltage. The result is a hot CPU and insufferable noise. There exist 3rd party solutions to this design flaw, but I need the BIOS to permit undervolting to implement it. Is there a patch or a workaround to permit CPU voltage control?

Edit: Oh cool. Undervoltage not possible on this generation of CPU. I yield. Will get rid of this thing asap.
