Product: Zbook g6 17
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Love my new Zbook G6 17. It has a plastic space-filler for the optical drive slot. I have an old Pavilion DV7-6100 with a Bluray recorder that I would like to use in the Zbook.

I'm going to need a frame or caddy or faceplate or bezel (whichever) in which to install the Bluray drive.

Any idea how to find such a thing? All I can seem to find (in these post-optical disk days, I guess) is a frame for a 2nd HDD. I actually have many occasions to use optical disks.

I would welcome any ideas for finding the bezel/faceplate/caddy/frame thing!

Welllll, it looks like a faceplate will not be sufficient. The drive as it is (pulled from the DV7t-6100) simply doesn't fit in the slot. I would probably need an entire frame, and transfer the disk player guts from the old one to the new. I somehow have a feeling that the only way I'm going to find that is to find a used DVD player for the Zbook G6 17 on eBay and take it apart.

Not sure it's worth it. A new Bluray player costs $80.
