Hei.Jeg har kjøpt på finn et brukt hp .Jeg har instalert ny hdd og vil instalere windows men bios er låst.Hva skal jeg gjøre med dette? [edited]

Hi.I buy used pc.Problem is at this pc have a locked bios med pass.I installed new HDD but can't install new system becose of this problem HP 2570p

Business notebooks like your EliteBook tend to have stronger protection on the passwords. Recent business models typically require HP to send you a customised SMC.bin file to remove the password; I don't know if your model is sufficiently recent to require this. Do not remove the BIOS battery, as the file is time and date specific.

 

I would start by contacting HP Customer Care in your country to enquire about password removal.

 

 

Hopefully someone will be along later who can offer more definitive information if my answer is incorrect.
