Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

can anyone help me on how to be able to select text using my touchpad on my laptop. I used to be able to make text selection by clicking in front  of the text(brining the pointer at beginning of the text that wanted to copy) by pressing on the touchpad  and scrolling my finger to the end of the text that wanted to copy. Now when I do the same I am not able to make selection anymore.
