Solved!

eStar Enable IOPT - what is it?

HP Recommended
HP ZBook Studio x360 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP have just sent me the specification of a configured to order workstation that they are proceeding to quote for. I understand every line in the configuration except "X9H35AV - eStar Enable IOPT". Does anyone happen to know what eStar is and why I would want it enabled?

Hi:

eStar stands for Energy Star enabled equipment.

I think most PC's are Energy Star compliant nowadays.

IOPT...looks to be some input-output thing.  Google it.

Thanks Paul - that's very helpful. I think you would struggle to buy any computer that isn't Energy Star compliant today.

IOPT is some sort of indication for a configurable option. The system has a DreamColor display and there's also a DreamColor IOPT in the specification.
