Hey, I just wanted to inform everyone of what just happened to me:
The fan did not spin up while compiling a big project, the CPU went to a steady 1Ghz, 100°C before the thermal protection shut down the laptop.
This was lid closed, with external monitors attached.

The fan issue happened multiple times here already. Shutting down or rebooting did not help. The only workaround for me was to enter sleep mode.
In my case the fan slowly kept switching between two states - non-working and full speed.
Be alert for scammers posting fake support phone numbers and/or email addresses on the community.
