Hi Mario,

Is there overheating? Unusually warm air through vents?

Did you do some updates recently that may have caused this?

You cannot control internal fan speed in most of the consumer notebooks from BIOS.

Have you tried reloading BIOS to default settings or updating BIOS?

Then I would suggest you to contact free HP technical support in your region for further troubleshooting and identifying the issue as you say it is producing unbearable noise.

I think its a design flaw from HP. You won't see a performance issue, however, you will notice the on-going fan noise, and turns really fast and loud when multiple programs are running. I just got mine, I did a BIOS update. I got the customized envy-13t with i7-7500u. If you see on Amazon, many people have complained about the fan issue. This issue persisted even back on the Sky-lake CPU's, and i am very surprised they just refreshed the Envy series with the Kaby Lake without actually solving the fan issue.

you are not the only one buddy have the exaxt same issues, i got told that ''i have a lemon'' and should return it for a refund ..more like every one is a LEMON cause its a BAD design for thermals, either that or they can invest in a Better more silent efficient fan. PS i have the same model as u.

Buddy, RMA done. Ordered an HP Spectre X360
Hopefully this one doesn't have any issues.

It works perfectly but the fan is just. Coming from my previous laptop which was quiet I felt there was something wrong with it

I believe the x360 has the same issues sorry hp will tell u that u have a unique problem but if u google you will see u are not alone. Im going for the xps 15 after i return this
