laptop hangs very often

HP Recommended
Envy 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The HP Envy 13 laptop hangs very often, while the cursor can be moved around the screen, but nothing responds to it. The laptop can hang 'tightly', and maybe after some, quite a long time, self-unlock. The stress test of the video card by FurMark is successful. What could be the reason for such his work, maybe, RAM? Or maybe something else?

Hi,

It could be a problem with the hard drive. So turn off the PC by holding power button. Next switch on the PC and press ESC continously until the startup menu appears and then press F2 to enter diagnostics. Try performing the fast test and see if you get any hardware failures.

Here is link to HP support page showing how to perform tests. Look under the title "Performing tests when Windows does not start"

Let me know,

David
