my system model is HP laptop 15-bs188cl.does my laptop support intel optane memory.i have i5 processor with 8th generation.so i want to keep a 32gb intel optane memory.please can i know weather it support it or not.and also do it has M.2 slot to place the intel optane.please reply my.thank tou

Hi,

I do not believe it supports Optane memory as the M2 slot (if present on the motherboard) supports only SATA3 SSD such as the M2 Samsung 860 Evo or similar.

So, first, you should check if the M2 slot is present. It is mentioned in service manual, however, sometimes notebooks that did not come with M2 SSD are missing the physical slot on motherboard. On page 45 of service manual you can see the steps to remove bottom cover.

M2 slotM2 slot. If the slot is present you can install an SSD and install the OS on it for performance gain.
