Hi @aw2004nx,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the power light on your HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13 is blinking and the laptop won't start, it could be indicative of various issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Power Cycle:

  • Disconnect the laptop from any external power source.
  • If possible, remove the battery.
  • Hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery (if removed) and plug the laptop back into the power source.
  • Try turning it on again.

Check Power Adapter:

  • Ensure that the power adapter is working correctly. Try using a different power outlet or a different power adapter if available.
  • Check if the power connector on the laptop is not loose or damaged.

Battery Issues:

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, ensure it is properly seated.

External Devices:

  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, external monitors, etc.) and try starting the laptop with only the essential peripherals connected.

BIOS/UEFI Update:

  • Check if there are any available BIOS/UEFI updates for your laptop on the HP support website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve certain issues.

System Diagnostics:

  • Some HP laptops come with built-in diagnostics. You can access these by pressing a specific key during startup (usually Esc, F2, or F10). Run a diagnostic test to check for hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Good day,

Thanks a lot for your reply, actually I have done all of that and power led is still blinking.  I guess it is a motherboard issue, what do you think?
