ProBook 455 G5 (1LQ75AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I recently purchased a ProBook 455 G5, product number 1LQ75AV, from the HP web store. After receiving it, I installed my own retail copy of Windows 10 Pro as I had ordered it with FreeDOS.

After installation, I tried to find the software downloads for it from the HP website, but the page does not appear to exist. All I have been able to find is the product specifications page.

Furthermore, the searches I have done for compatible care packs under Care Pack Central have not turned up anything. The only thing I have been able to find is the default limited warranty information by doing a manual warranty check.

It's as if this ProBook doesn't exist in the product support or care pack areas of the HP website. Where am I supposed to find what I am looking for? I would appreciate any insight someone else may have. Thank you.

Hi, @ryuo

I can give you the links to some of the drivers you need until HP establishes the support page, but I will need to know some more info from you.

What model AMD processor and graphics does your model come with?  I need that info to give you the link to the graphics driver your model uses.

Please post the hardware ID for the device labeled in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

That is the wifi adapter in need of a driver.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device.

https://www.howtogeek.com/193798/how-to-find-drivers-for-unknown-devices-in-the-device-manager/

Here are the links to the chipset, ethernet and SD card reader drivers...

Chipset:  You want the first file listed on the webpage.  Install and restart the PC.

https://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset/previous/detail?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064&rev=17.40

Ethernet:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W10 driver at the link below...

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTy...

SD card reader:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the 1st driver listed at the link below...

I can't find anything either. Possibly because this is a newly released model and the Support pages are not published yet. I will inquire about it.

In the meantime @Paul_Tikkanen may be able to offer alternate drivers.

Thanks for trying on the drivers problem. Would you happen to have any insight into how I can find compatible care packs for my product number? The care pack central website (https://cpc.ext.hp.com/portal/site/cpc/) for my product number is unable to find any. I also tried the product numbers for other customizable ProBooks from the 430, 440, 450, and 470 series and got the same result. It seems to effect all the customizable ProBooks. So how I am supposed to purchase a care pack for a customizable ProBook?

I will ask about Care Packs also.

Sorry for the delay, but I have the information you were asking for:

For the processor and graphics, I have an A10-9620P processor with Radeon R5 graphics.

For the network controller, I found the following hardware IDs:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B822&SUBSYS_831B103C&REV_00

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B822&SUBSYS_831B103C

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B822&CC028000

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B822&CC0280

I hope this is of use in your search. Thanks again.

You're very welcome.

Here are the graphics, wifi and bluetooth drivers you need.

For the graphics you want the first file on the list. Install and restart the PC.

https://support.amd.com/en-us/download/apu?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064

Wifi:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188EE, RTL8723DE, RTL8821CE, and RTL8822BE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82501-83000/sp82804.exe

Bluetooth:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek Bluetooth in the supported notebook/laptop models that are running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp83501-84000/sp83944.exe

If there are any other drivers that are missing, please post the hardware ID's for those devices.

For optional  software, you can probably use the available software listed for the 455 g4.

@ryuo

I have been told that a ticket has been logged to get the Support pages for your model published online soon. Some glitch in the system apparently.

Thanks for the update. It's good to see that that problem has been properly addressed.

But I'm now waiting for resolution with an issue with the phone order I placed on Tuesday, the 26th, for a care pack. I haven't received any emails about it aside from the order confirmation, though I expected to hear something further by now. Any ideas what I need to do, if anything?
