I have the issues below. Any help appreciated!

Kind regards,

1) I can connect to any projector or monitor when using a monoblock HDMI cable without any problem. However, when there is another HDMI cable line that comes right before the display (monitor or projector)  that I want to connect, my laptop doesn't identify this display. For instance, in my company's meeting rooms, there are HDMI ports on the tables. The HDMI connection consists of two parts of cable: the first one is from the table to the floor and the second part is from the floor to the projector. Any computer but mine can use these HDMI connections in the meeting rooms. What can I do to solve this issue?

2) By using a type-c to HDMI adapter I could connect to the projector in the meeting rooms but sometimes it takes almost 2 minutes for the laptop to identify the projector. During this 2 minutes, the display flickers several times and looks like it tries to adjust something in the connection. This happens whenever/wherever there is an additional HMDI cable to the projector. Is this something normal? If not, how can I fix this?
