Z1 G5 Entry Tower
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello folks, the subject says it all - I'm looking for 10 Gb NICs that have been confirmed to work with the Z1 workstation on the latest BIOS (R01 Ver. 02.04.02 12/27/2019). Unfortunately the QuickSpec and the network cards compatibility guide for workstations has no information for the Z1 other than the integrated NIC. If you had to do a workaround to get a 10Gb NIC working, what did you do?  I do know that my Z1 will not post with multiple Intel X540-T2 cards - just black screen, no boot, no beeps. But my old EliteDesk 800 G2 boots fine with the x540-t2 cards, and they run like a champ.

Potentially good news for anyone else trying to get this NIC to work - it seems that the latest BIOS update for the Z1 (02.05.01) has fixed the problem.  I'm able to boot, get in the BIOS/Option ROM, as well as the OS.  Not sure if it's related to this note in the changelog: " Fixes an issue where system with some PCIe cards installed cannot boot to OS after updating BIOS"
