Hi I wish to get this hp spare part: P35214-001   (hp nvme expansion board)

Its for this HP mini PC: HP EliteDesk 8 Mini G1i AI Intel Core Ultra 5 235T 16 GB DDR5-SDRAM 512 GB SSD Windows 11 Pro Mini PC AI PC Black:

SKU

I have yet to purchase the mini pc so don't have the serial number, the spare part is not available online or on ebay/amazon/aliexpress/alibaba or any hp spare part website either. Thanks.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest authorised service centre for a price and availability. The HP doesn't sell MBO to users; the replacement board needs to be programmed after replacement with DMI program tools that are not publicly available.

Even if you get a new MBO and install it, it will not work as it should. The DMI data must be programmed in the new MBO, and if you don't have tools and DMI data, it will not work for you.

Hi thanks for the reply, what is an MBO?

thanks I will email some authorised service centres near my location in UK, but the spare part I am looking for is an nvme expansion board which just slots into the spare hp slot. A bit like the 2.5g expansion port.

I would have imagined it just needs to be slotted in without any programming or additional work otherwise why would ebay/amazon and other online retailers have lots of spare hp parts for sale.

MBO is the motherboard ( mainboard), and when purchased new from HP is free of DMI data and must be programmed.

Ok, its not the motherboard I need replacing just Flex I/O connector boards

I will contact local hp centres, thanks.

Just for future googlers that may run into the same issue, you can use these sites here:

https://partsurfer.hp.com/

and

https://parts.hp.com/

you can enter your serial number or even computer sku code which is usually on the retailers website or google it, so you can still search if hp online stores have the parts for your PC. Mine did not show any of the parts I wanted so have emailed few hp centres and tech support to find out how to get these hp spare parts that are not listed. If I get any good links or contact, ill post it here.

Getting few responses back from hp spares stores, but its very poor service from them since they are just saying the item is not in stock or something they sell.

One hp customer services suggested to try asking local hp spare authorised sellers which sounds like pawning someone off, but you can do so by selecting buy from a partner top right hand corner here:

https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/Part_Resellers.aspx?mscssid=059A4E85CD114957AD2DF5E4935DB4AE&geo_code=E...

I have emailed 10+ different companies hp sellers/part sellers so lets see.

eBay and alibaba are good ecommerce places to locate specific computer items that the OEM maker may not sell  individually or at all

if you had listed the model system and the specific flexIo module  you might be buying then people could have provide links to it

Thanks for the suggestion, I did list the hp part number in the original post its : P35214-001

but did not include the mini pc details its:

HP mini PC: HP EliteDesk 8 Mini G1i AI Intel Core Ultra 5 235T 16 GB DDR5-SDRAM 512 GB SSD Windows 11 Pro Mini PC AI PC Black:

SKU:998T0ET#ABU

Tried both hp parts stores/surfparter and aliexpress, alibaba, ebay and amazon and google in general. There is 1 company that claims to have a refurb part but its 2.2k

From looking on the hp part store and 10+ hp resellers, it doesn't appear hp make or stock the extra addon parts since every items out of stock, they don't even list the P35214-001 part anyhow apart from the manual, so think ill look at alternative PCs or go the thunderbolt to nvme option which is available at least.
