Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm just wanting a bit of clarification on a couple of setup issues I'm having with an HP Presence control centre.

I've tried going via support but the devices serial number isn't recognised.

Firstly can an PC be used (obviously with the right spec) as in it doesn't need to be the type used in the user guide with the colour coded usb sockets?

 

Secondly I have tried connecting it to an HP Laptop, but this laptop only has a single USB C socket does the Presence require 2, one for the camera and one for the Presence itself?

Have tried with just the Presence plugged in and the devices screen stays blank, have yet to see any thing other than the mic and plus minus signs.
