To test a product, I'm looking to use Z4 G4 work station to interface to PCIe test instruments to execute tests. The Z4 comes with 5 PCIe slots, but I will require more slots. One option is to use an external PCIe expansion chassis, which requires a bridge hardware to connect the Z4 to the external PCIe expansion chassis. Can the Z4 accommodate 13 PCIe slots (5 slots on Z4 and 8 slots on expansion chassis)? If it can accommodate more PCIe slots, where can I find instructions to configure the BIOS to add more PCIe slots and also assign slot numbers?

RATHER THAN ASK US USERS,....... 99.9% OF WHICH HAVE NO NEED TO USE OR KNOWLEDGE OF THE HARDWARE YOU REQUIRE, why don't you contact the vendor's who make the hardware you require and ask them? they will be able to answer your questions quickly and accurately
