since you state that you would like to start doing video editing, it stands to reason that you have no clear goal/plan on just how you want to edit files and your goal most likely will change between now and in the near future
AIO's are like laptops, extremely limited expansion options lets say to buy on with a 24in screen and later on want to have accurate color reproduction (What You See Is What You Get = WYSIWYG) only to find your AIO screen does not have a color profile for it or that it's only a 8 bit panel not 10bit or say the video card becomes the limited factor again AIO's have at best 2 or 3 video options and that's it and none of them will really be a high end option
so you now have to replace the entire AIO system..................
(same for a SFF or minitower system, they have expandability issues to some degree also)
whereas a midsized tower
uses a separate monitor and the midsized tower has room for more storage drives, ram, cpu upgrades, newer video card better cooling and will usually produce less noise
bottom line, decide just WHAT and how you want to edit video then look at the software that will meet your needs and see what the software maker and users of said software recommend in hardware
